Stempro osteogenic medium

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in United States

StemPro osteogenic medium is a cell culture medium designed for the differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts. It provides the necessary factors and supplements to support the osteogenic lineage commitment and maturation of stem cells.

Osteogenic Differentiation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For osteogenic differentiation, 0.8 × 105 cells suspended in lg-DMEM (ThermoFisher-Gibco) supplemented with 10% FBS were seeded in 35 mm Petri dishes (Corning). When 60% confluence was reached, induction was initiated with StemPro osteogenic medium (Gibco, Carlsbad, California, CA, USA), and the cells were incubated for 21 days, changing the medium twice per week. Finally, alkaline phosphatase activity was detected using SIGMA FAST BCIP/NBT (5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl phosphate/nitro blue tetrazolium) (Sigma-Aldrich).

Osteogenic Differentiation of hBM-MSCs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
0.8 × 105 hBM-MSC were seeded in P35 Petri dishes (Corning, New York, NY, USA) with low-glucose DMEM medium (Thermo Fisher, Waltham, MA, USA) supplemented with 10% FBS at 60% confluence. The cells were incubated with StemPro osteogenic medium (Gibco, Carlsbad, CA, USA) for 21 days. The differentiation medium was replaced twice per week. Osteocyte analysis was performed with Alizarin Red staining, which detects calcium deposits (Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, MI, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
