Albumin elisa kit

EV protein content was measured via a Qubit 4 Fluorometer. For quantifying albumin contamination, a commercial albumin ELISA kit (Thermo Fisher) was used) on whole EVs isolated from 1 mL of human plasma using either TENPO versus ultracentrifugation. A standard curve was fitted via⁵¹ (SI Fig. 20). Albumin depletion was calculated relative to a literature-derived value for albumin concentration in human plasma of 4 g/dL⁵² ; at a dilution of 1:500,000, the original input plasma (Zen-Bio) yielded a fluorescence result well beyond the logistic calibration curve limit of 1200 ng/mL of the ELISA.
