Broiler Intestinal Barrier Integrity

Fusarium graminearum ACCC 37,687 was provided by Professor Yang Xiaojun, College of Animal Science and Technology, Northwest A&F University. AA broilers were purchased from Shanxi Elephant Farming and animal husbandry group (China).

Antioxidant and Digestive Enzyme Assay

Hepatic and intestinal samples were homogenized in ice-cold phosphate buffer (1:10 dilution) (phosphate buffer; 0.064 M, pH 6.4). In Vitro Digestion of Caseinate

The caseinate (protein content of 984.2 g/kg on dry basis) and D-lactose were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich Co., Ltd. (St. Louis, MO, USA). The galactose assay kit was purchased from BioAssay Systems (Hayward, CA, USA). The lipase and α-amylase assay kits were bought from Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute (Nanjing, Jiangsu, China). In addition, the water used in this study was ultrapure water generated by Milli-Q Plus (Millipore Corporation, New York, NY, USA). Other chemicals used in this study were of analytical grade.

Pancreatic Tissue Histochemical Analysis
