Anti beta actin antibody

Manufactured by Boster Bio
Sourced in United States

Anti-beta-actin antibody is a laboratory reagent used for the detection and quantification of beta-actin, a ubiquitous cytoskeletal protein, in biological samples. This antibody specifically binds to beta-actin, allowing researchers to study its expression and distribution within cells or tissues.

Western Blot Analysis for ADAM28 Protein

Whole cell lysates (75 μg) or homogenized tissues were prepared in a lysis buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 5 mM EDTA, 150 mM NaCl, 0.5% NP-40). Protein samples were resolved on a 10% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gel (SDS-PAGE), followed by being transferred to a PVDF membrane (Millipore, USA). The membranes were then probed with mouse anti-ADAM28 antibody (Abcam, USA) and anti-beta-actin antibody (Boster, Wuhan, China) were for the interested protein ADAM28 and endogenous beta-actin for loading control, respectively. The blots were developed using the enhanced chemiluminescence (ECL) reagent (Advansta, Menlo Park, CA, United States) after they were incubated with the appropriate peroxidase labeled secondary antibodies. The levels of protein expression were semi-quantified by optical densitometry using ImageJ Software version 1.46 (http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/). The ratio between the net intensity of each sample divided by the β-actin internal control was calculated as densitometric arbitrary units (A.U.)) which served as an index of relative expression of a protein of interest [42 (link), 44 (link)].

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
