The largest database of trusted experimental protocols

Web of science core collection database

Manufactured by Clarivate

The Web of Science Core Collection is a comprehensive citation database that provides access to high-quality, peer-reviewed journals, books, and proceedings. It indexes content from over 20,000 of the world's most influential journals, books, and conference proceedings, covering the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities.

Bibliometric Analysis of Ankle Surgery

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
This bibliometric analysis aimed to identify and analyse the key papers in the field of ankle surgery, by identifying the most cited articles.
In April 2020, the Web of Science Core Collection Database (Clarivate Analytics) was searched for articles with the key terms ‘ankle AND surgery’ within the field of orthopaedics. This initial search returned 5288 publications, and the top 50 publications were chosen when ranked by number of citations. The inclusion criteria for the bibliometric analysis required that each analysed paper had to refer to an ankle surgical intervention, either in its title or its abstract. This was detailed by the first two authors, whilst the third author would arbitrate, if required, for any incongruities in the inclusion.

Bibliometric Analysis of Clubfoot and Ponseti

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To identify studies for analysis, the Web of Science Core Collection Database (Clarivate Analytics) was queried. Two searches of abstracts, keywords, and article titles were run: one using the search term “clubfoot” and a second using the term “Ponseti.” Results were filtered by publication year, from 1902 through 2022. No language restrictions were imposed. The complete metadata for each article were compiled and manually exported on April 25, 2022.
Studies were exported in BibTeX format. The exported studies were then uploaded into Biblioshiny software (K-Synth) in RStudio Cloud (Posit) for data management and analysis. Only the following article types were included in the analysis: case reports, original research, systematic reviews, proceedings papers, and early-access. Letters to the editor, book chapters, and conference abstracts were excluded. Bibliometrix (K-Synth), an R tool of RStudio (version 4.1.3) for comprehensive science mapping analysis, and Biblioshiny, a web-interface for Bibliometrix, were used to import and manage the metadata from Web of Science4 .

Osteoarthritis and Cellular Senescence Bibliometric Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The Web of Science Core Collection database originating from Clarivate Analytics is considered to be one of the most authoritative and comprehensive database platforms hosting a wide range of international academic journals. Web of Science has been recognized and adopted by most previous research institutes as a high-quality repository of digital literature.[14 ] Therefore, we chose it to obtain global academic information for bibliometric analysis. All published literature was extracted from web of science with a search date of January 1, 2009 to May 31, 2023. In this study, the search terms were as follows: Subject = Osteoarthritis* AND Topic = Cellular senescence AND Publication year = (2009–2023) AND Literature type = (article or review) AND Language = (English). In addition, all valid documentation, including year of publication, title, author’s name, nationality, and affiliation. As a result, 298 articles were retrieved (Fig. 1).

Systematic Review of Knee Surgery Literature

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
In June 2019, the Web of Science Core Collection Database (Clarivate Analytics) was searched. The initial search terms were ‘Knee’ with the Boolean string ‘AND’ and the term ‘Surgery’. This search was then further refined using the ‘Web of Science Category’ Tag of ‘Orthopedics’. Results were then ranked by number of citations, before being evaluated for appropriateness and relevance. Inclusion criteria required explicit relevance to surgical intervention. Articles were reviewed by title and abstract by two of the authors, and in the event of a disagreement, a third author would adjudicate. Each article was assessed for authorship, author institution, country of origin, year of publication and name of journal. Each title and abstract were then tagged by subject area to assess which topics received the most discussion.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
