Protein bands were visualized using enhanced chemiluminescence (ECL) reagents (GE, 5978613).

Paraffifin-embedded sections were deparaffifinized and rehydrated. Endogenous peroxidase activity was blocked by incubation in 0.3% hydrogen peroxide for 30 min, then the slides were microwaved and boiled in 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for antigen retrieval.
