Potential risk factors for ESBL-GNB UTI/bacteriuria were identified by univariate analysis. The Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test was used for categorical variables, and the Student t-test or the Mann-Whitney U-test for continuous variables, as appropriate. All variables that were associated with ESBL-GNB infection or ICU admission in the univariate analysis at the p < 0.1 level were included in the logistic regression using the forward conditional method.
