Bc43 spinning disk confocal system

Manufactured by Oxford Instruments

The BC43 Spinning Disk Confocal system is a compact and versatile microscopy solution designed for high-speed live-cell imaging. It utilizes a spinning disk confocal approach to provide optical sectioning and improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to widefield imaging. The system is capable of acquiring high-quality, high-resolution images at rapid frame rates, making it suitable for a variety of live-cell applications.

All slides were scanned using the Zeiss LSM 710 NLO confocal microscope (Zeiss, White Plains, NY). Wavelength absorbance‐emission values were DAPI (410‐449), Adam17 (484‐552), and Aif (599‐670). Using an oil immersion objective, z‐stacks of the mPFC were obtained at 63× magnification (Objective i Plan‐Apochromat 63x/1.4 Oil DIC M27; field of view = 25 mm). Additional images were captured using an Andor BC43 Spinning Disk Confocal system (Andor Technology, Belfast) with an oil immersion objective (Plan Apo 60×, NA 1.4; Nikon). Excitation was achieved using 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm, and 640 nm lasers in sequence, and emission light was detected by an Andor sCMOS camera (4.2MP; 6.5 µm pixel size).

All the slides were scanned with the Zeiss LSM 710 NLO confocal microscope (Zeiss, White Plains, NY). Wavelength absorbance-emission values were as follows: DAPI (410–449); ADAM17 (484–552); Drd1 (552–601); Aif (599–670). Using an oil immersion objective, z-stacks of the mPFC were obtained at 63x magnification. About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
