Establishing Murine Breast Cancer Model
The protocol for animal experiments was approved by the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee of Xi'an Jiaotong University. In order to obtain mice bearing 4T1 tumors, approximately 1×106 4T1 cells (murine breast cancer cells) were inoculated subcutaneously into the flank of female balb/c mice (4 weeks old). The length and width of tumor were measured and the following formula was employed to calculate the tumor volume: volume = 0.5 × width2 × length.

AA, N,N,N´,N´-tetraethylmethylenediamine (TEMED), ammonium persulfate (APS), polyethylene glycol dodecyl ether (Brij 30), AHM, dioctyl sulfosuccinate (AOT), APMA, HEMA, DAT, and 9,10-anthracenediyl-bis (methylene)dimalonic acid (ABDA) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich.
Hexane, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), and ethanol were obtained from Sintorgan. Trypticase soy agar (TSA) was obtained from Britania (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
Purification by dialysis was performed with cellulose ester membranes (MWCO 50 KDa; SpectrumLabs).
Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, 10 mM pH 7.4) solution was prepared using sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, and potassium dihydrophosphate. All the chemicals were of the highest purity commercially available (Cicarelli) and the solutions were prepared using ultrapure water from a Milli-Q® purification system.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
