Evaluating SBH Cytoprotection Against H2O2

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Seeded cells, (1 × 105 cells/well) in 24 well plates after 24 h were treated with different concentrations of SBH for 1 h. The wells apart from the control were stimulated with H2O2 (1 mM) and incubated for another 24 h. Hoechst 33342 (10 μg/mL) was then added and incubated for 10 min. Afterward, the culture media was removed and new media containing PI was added to the wells and visualized using the EVOS FL Auto 2 Imaging microscope (ThermoFisher Scientific, Waltham, CA, USA) [15 (link)].

Fluorescent Nuclear Morphology Imaging

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were stained with either Hoechst 33342 or mixture of acridine orange and ethidium bromide according to the method described in our previous publication [9 (link)]. Nuclear morphologies were visualized on an EVOS FL Auto 2 Imaging microscope (Thermo-Fisher, Waltham, MA, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
