Synthesis and Fabrication of ZIF-8 and HF Membranes

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For the synthesis of ZIF-8, 2-methylimidazole (Hmim) (99% purity) and zinc nitrate hexahydrate (99+% purity) were purchased from Alfa Aesar and absolute ethanol (99.8+% purity) was purchased from Fisher Scientific. For the fabrication of the HF membranes, Fumion AP poly(2,2′-(m-phenylene))-5,5′-bisbenzimidazole (PBI, Mw = 48 000 g mol−1) was supplied by Fumatech BWT GmbH. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) K30, anhydrous N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP, 99.5% purity) and lithium chloride (LiCl) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. n-Hexane and methanol were purchased from Fisher Scientific.

Synthesis of PLGA-based Nanocomposites

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Polylactic-co-glycolic acid
(PLGA) (lactide-to-glycolide ratio = 85:15; MW = 50–75 kDa),
polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) (MW, ∼1,300,000), copper (II) nitrate
trihydrate (Cu(NO3)2·3H2O; 99.9%),
benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (BTC) (≥98%), zinc acetate
dihydrate (Zn(O2CCH3)2·2H2O; 99.0%), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), tetrahydrofuran (THF),
and dimethylformamide (DMF) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Ethanol
and methanol were purchased from BioLab. 2-Methylimidazole (Hmim)
was purchased from Alfa Aesar. All the materials were used as bought
without further purification.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
