Anti cd40l mab clone mr1

Manufactured by BioXCell

Anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1) is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the CD40 ligand (CD40L) protein. CD40L is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily and is expressed on the surface of activated T cells, platelets, and other cell types. The anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1) can be used in research applications to study the role of the CD40-CD40L interaction in various biological processes.

Tolerance Induction in TEa TCR Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
TEa TCR transgenic mice do not express the homologous antigen and thus do not normally have nTreg or iTreg. TEa mice were tolerized with an intravenous (i.v.) injection of 1×107 BALB/c spleen cells and 0.25 mg anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1; Bio X Cell, West Lebanon, NH) on day 0, and another 0.25 mg anti-CD40L mAb injection on day 3. On day 7, mice were euthanized and spleen and LN harvested and analyzed for iTreg generation by flow cytometry.

Heterotopic Heart Transplantation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Heterotopic Heart transplantation was performed as previously described (4 (link), 19 (link), 30 (link), 31 (link)). In some experiments recipients were treated with either 250μg anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1, BioXcell) i.v. on the day prior surgery or 250μg CTLA4-Ig (abatacept) on day +1. Rejection was defined as the day on which a palpable heartbeat was no longer detectable and was confirmed by histological examination.

Cardiac Transplant Tolerance Induction

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
BALB/c hearts were transplanted as fully vascularized heterotopic grafts into C57BL/6 mice as previously described (Corry et al., 1973 (link)). Recipient mice were treated with 250 μg anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1, BioXcell) for tolerance induction on days 0, 2, and 4 as previously described (Jiang et al., 2011 (link)). Graft function was monitored every other day by abdominal palpation. Untreated control mice received hamster IgG in PBS. Rejection was defined as complete cessation of a palpable beat and confirmed by direct visualization at laparotomy.

Tolerance Induction in Heart Transplantation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
BALB/c hearts were transplanted as fully vascularized heterotopic grafts into C57BL/6 mice as previously described (37 (link)). Recipient mice were treated with 250μg anti-CD40L mAb (clone MR1, BioXcell, West Lebanon, NH) for tolerance induction on days 0, 2, and 4 as previously described (38 (link)). Graft function was monitored every other day by abdominal palpation. Untreated control mice received hamster IgG in PBS. Rejection was defined as complete cessation of a palpable beat and confirmed by direct visualization at laparotomy.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
