FT-ICR IMS of Mouse SVZ Lipids

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Sections from one case were prepared and DHB or DAN matrices applied as described above. FT-ICR IMS of the SVZ was performed using a Bruker 7 T solarix-XR mass spectrometer (Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany) with MALDI ionisation and at 20 µm spatial resolution. Spectra were collected in the m/z range of 150–2000. FT-ICR data were read into flexImaging v4.1 (Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany) and normalised using the root mean square method. Peak centroids were taken as accurate masses to facilitate the assignment of lipid identities.

Multimodal Imaging of Lipid Biomarkers

Sections were analysed using a Horiba LabRAM HR UV–VIS-NIR (Horiba, France) Raman microscope with a 785 nm laser. Samples were coated with 1,5-Diaminonapthalene deposited via sublimation, before subsequent MALDI FT-ICR-MS imaging analysis using a Bruker 7 T solarix-XR mass spectrometer (Bruker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany) in positive ion mode.
Raman spectrometry and MALDI data were processed and analysed using MatLabR2020b and HYPER-Tools16 (link). Principal component analysis (PCA) of the imaging mass spectrometry data was undertaken to establish ions with a higher presence in DLE or control tissue.

MALDI-FT-ICR-IMS for Compound Identification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
MALDI Fourier transform-ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR)-IMS was
performed using a Bruker 7T solariX XR mass spectrometer (Bruker Daltonics,
Germany) at a 75 μm spatial resolution. Spectra were collected
in positive ion mode in mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) range of 100–1000, and the resolution was 61 000
at m/z 307. The compounds and m/z values ([M + H]+) used were
as follows: atropine 290.1751, propranolol 260.1645, atenolol 267.1703,
carteolol 293.18601860, pilocarpine 209.1285, methazolamide 237.0111,
pindolol 249.1598, tizanidine 254.0262, nadolol 310.2013, lincomycin
407.2210, and fluconazole 307.1113.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
