Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining kit

Manufactured by Beyotime
Sourced in China

Hoechst 33258 is a fluorescent dye used for the staining and detection of DNA in biological samples. It binds to the minor groove of double-stranded DNA, emitting a blue fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining kit provides a simple and reliable method for visualizing and quantifying DNA content in cells and tissues.

Apoptosis Induction in Vascular Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
HSCs were seeded in 6-well plates at a density of 2 × 104 cells/well and cultured overnight. After the cells were treated with Ang II and various concentrations of carvedilol for 24 hours, nuclear morphological changes and DNA fragmentation, indicating apoptotic cells, were detected with a Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining kit (Beyotime, Shanghai, China) according to the manufacturer's protocol. Apoptotic HSCs were observed under a fluorescence microscope (Olympus, Tokyo, Japan).

Matrine-induced Apoptosis in Lung Cancer Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A549 or H1299 cells (5×104) in DMEM containing 10% FBS were treated with matrine (0.5 mg/ml) or PBS at 37°C for 24 h. Apoptosis was detected using a Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining kit (Beyotime Institute of Biotechnology, Haimen, China) according to the manufacturer's protocol. The effect of matrine on cellular apoptosis was also evaluated using an Annexin-V Apoptosis Detection kit FITC (ebioscience; Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.) based on the manufacturer's protocol and apoptosis was determined using a flow cytometer. The results of cell apoptosis were analyzed with FlowJo software (10.0.7; FlowJo LLC, Ashland, OR, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
