Osteomyelitis Model in USP8-Deficient Mice
The animals were maintained in a specific pathogen-free (SPF) facility with free access to water and diet. All animal procedures were according to the guidelines of the Animal Care and Use Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People's Hospital (DWLL2018-0093).
A mouse model of osteomyelitis was constructed as previously described (19) . S. aureus (strain ATCC12600T, ATCC, Manassas, VA) were cultured in tryptic soy broth with or without erythromycin (10 μg/mL, E5389, Sigma, St. Louis, MO). The mice were then intramuscularly injected with 2 μl of the bacterial suspension. Bodyweight was monitored and recorded every two days. After 16 days, the mice were utilized and liver and femur tissues were collected. Bacterial load was determined in these tissues. In addition, cortical bone loss
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
