Serum Biochemical Analysis in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The mice of each group were anaesthetized with ketamine/xylazine and blood was collected directly from the heart. Then centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 15 minutes to separate the serum and kept at 4°C for analysis of various biochemical parameters including ALT, AST, and ALP [35 (link)]. All the analyses were performed using Hitachi 902 Automatic Analyzer using the adapted reagents from Roche (Germany) at Gribbles Pathology Laboratory Malaysia (M) Sdn. Bhd., Penang, Malaysia.

Comprehensive Metabolic Profiling Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Six laboratory technicians, four nurses, and two supervisors were trained by the principal investigator to assist during data collection. Biochemical tests (HbA1c) were carried out using 902 Automatic Analyzer with Roche/Hitachi kit following a minimum of 10 hours fasting period. To ensure the quality of the interview and the acquisition of quality data, random checks were carried out by field supervisors and the principal investigator. Data entry, cleaning, and coding were done using Epi-info version 3.5.3.

WHO STEPwise Instrument Approach

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data were gathered using a pretested structured WHO STEPwise instrument approach.11 (link) Sociodemographic and socioeconomic data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Fasting blood samples were collected from each patient, and the samples taken during data collection were sent to laboratories for chemical analysis. Six laboratory technicians, four nurses and two supervisors were trained by the principal investigator. Biochemical tests were carried out using a 902 Automatic Analyzer with the Roche/Hitachi kit.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
