3 protocols using human nestin

1

Differentiation of Glial Stem Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Differentiation of GSCs was induced by 7-day exposure to 5% fetal calf serum in DMEM. Staining for human nestin (Santa Cruz Biotechnology), GFAP (Sigma) and GalC (Chemicon) was performed as described previously 13 (link).

Western Blot Analysis of Signaling Proteins

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Western blotting was performed as previously described.19 (link),30 (link) Cell lysates were collected, and the protein concentration was determined by the Bradford assay (Bio-Rad, CA). The protein samples were electrophoresed on SDS-PAGE gels, transferred to PVDF membranes, and analyzed using antibodies against α-tubulin, phospho-AKT (S473), total-AKT, phospho-ERK (Thr202/Tyr204), total-ERK, phospho-STAT3 (Tyr705), STAT3, p21, SMARCA5 (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), SMRT/NCOR2 (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), ErbB3 (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), ErbB2 (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), human nestin (Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA), and L1CAM (Fisher, USA). All antibodies were purchased from Cell Signaling, USA, unless otherwise indicated.

Optimized IHC Protocol for CD44, Nestin, YKL-40

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for CD44 (Anti-CD44 from Cell Signaling Technology), human nestin (Santa Cruz) and YKL-40 (Quidel) was performed on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections using the protocol described previously7 (link) with slight modifications. For antigen retrieval, 0.1% saponin (Sigma) treatment for 5 minutes was used for CD44 and YKL-40, and microwave in citrate buffer for human nestin.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
