Formulation Development of Paracetamol Tablets

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Paracetamol Semi-Fine Powder (Mallinckrodt, Hazelwood, USA) was used as poorly soluble model drug (Granberg and Rasmuson, 1999) . Mannitol 50 C (Pearlitol® 50 C, Roquette Frères, Lestrem, France) was used as highly soluble filler (Rowe et al., 2009) (link). Hydroxypropyl (HP) pea starch (Lycoat® RS 720, Roquette Frères, Lestrem, France), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) E15 (Methocel® E15, Dow Chemical Company, Rheinmünster, Germany), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) K12 (Kollidon® K12, BASF, Ludwigshafen, Germany) and sodium octenyl succinate starch (SOS) CO 01 (Cleargum® CO 01, Roquette Frères, Lestrem, France) were used as binders. For wettability measurements, anhydrous dicalcium phosphate (DCP) (Calipharm® A, Innophos, Chicago Heights, USA) was used as hydrophobic model excipient because of its resistance to hydration (Miyazaki et al., 2008; (link)Yu et al., 2014) (link).
Magnesium stearate (MgSt) (Ligamed® MF-2-V, Peter Greven, Bad Münstereifel, Germany) was used as lubricant during tableting.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
