Muse system check kit

4-Hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde (98%), salicylaldehyde (98%), 4-hydroxy-benzaldehyde (98%), cyclohexanone (99%), boric acid (H₃BO₃, >99.5%), citric acid (>99.5%) trisodium phosphate (Na₃PO₄, 96%) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH, 99%) were acquired from Sigma Aldrich (Steinheim am Albuch, Germany). Methanol (MeOH, >99.9%) and sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄, 95–97%) were purchased from CHIMREACTIV SRL (Bucuresti, Romania) and Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany). All reagents and solvents used in the experiments were used without further purification.
Fetal bovine serum (FBS), Dulbecco’s phosphate-buffered saline (DPBS without Ca and Mg), Trypsin, Minimum Essential Medium α (α-Mem), Roswell Park Memorial Institute (RPMI) 1640 Medium with Glutamax, and Penicillin-Streptomycin (Penstrep) were acquired from Gibco ThermoScientific LSG (Auckland, New Zealand). Dimethylsulfoxide was purchased from Fluka Analytical (Seelze, Germany). Muse System Check Kit, Muse Count & Viability Kit and Muse Cell Cycle Kit were acquired from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany).

Cells were harvested using trypsin/EDTA and washed with HBSS. Cell counting was performed with a Muse cell analyser (Merck-Millipore) using the count and viability kit (product # MCH100102) according to the manufacturer’s instructions, after first calibrating the system with the Muse system check kit (product # MCH10010).
