Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO2) Mg (CH3COO)2, NaOH, KH2PO4 and HCl were obtained from S.D. fine chemicals (Mumbai, India) and used as received. The cation exchange capacity of the natural Saponite and synthetic Saponite is 76 and 59.7 mequiv/100 g clay, respectively [36 (link),37 (link)].

Rutin Hydrate Formulation and Characterization

CH2Cl2 (HPLC grade) was obtained from Fisher chemicals, and all the reagents were used as received without further purification.
