Quantifying Protein Expression by Confocal Microscopy

All parameters of the image acquisition were kept the same to allow comparison. Data were expressed as mean ± SD. The mean expression levels were compared between the experimental and control groups using ANOVA (SPSS 10.0), with a probability value of P < 0.05 (Tukey's HSD test) being considered statistically significant.
