Bnp 2 protein analyzer

Manufactured by Siemens
Sourced in Germany

The BNP II protein analyzer is a laboratory instrument designed to measure the levels of B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in blood samples. BNP is a biomarker used to assess heart function and aid in the diagnosis of heart failure. The BNP II provides automated and quantitative analysis of BNP concentrations, delivering reliable results to support clinical decision-making.

Fasting Blood Biomarkers Measurement

Overnight fasting blood samples were routinely drawn. Fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), HDL-C, and LDL-C were measured using an ADVIA-2400 automatic biochemical analyzer (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) and the triglyceride test kit (GPO-PAP, Shanghai Huachen, Shanghai, China). A BNP II protein analyzer (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) was used to test serum high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) (C-reactive protein kit, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Products GmbH, Erlangen, Germany), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) (HBIC HbA1c kit, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Products GmbH, Erlangen, Germany), and homocysteine (Hcy) (Hcy kit, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Products GmbH, Erlangen, Germany).
Non-HDL-C was calculated by subtracting HDL-C levels from TC. Non-HDL-C levels were classified into two grades according to the criteria recommended by the Patient-centered management of dyslipidemia developed by the NLA in 2015 [7 (link)]: normal group (non-HDL-C <3.4 mmol/l) and high group (non-HDL-C ≥3.4 mmol/l). The high group can be further divided into higher than normal (3.4 mmol/l ≤ non-HDL-C <4.2 mmol/l), critical high (4.2 mmol/l ≤ non-HDL-C <5.0 mmol/l), and very high (non-HDL-C ≥5.0 mmol/l).

Fasting Biomarker Analysis Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Morning blood or serum samples were collected after an overnight fast on the next day after admission to the hospital. FPG, total cholesterol (TC), TG, HDL-C, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels were measured with the ADVIA 2400 full automatic biochemical analyzer (Siemens, Germany). Serum hypersensitive-C reaction protein (hs-CRP), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and homocysteine (Hcy) levels were detected by the BNP II protein analyzer (Siemens).

Fasting Biomarker Analysis in Hospital Patients

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood samples were collected after overnight fast on the next morning after hospital admission. ADVIA-2400 full automatic biochemical analyzer (Siemens, Germany) and triglyceride test kit (GPOPAP, Shanghai Huachen, China) were applied to measure FBG, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and LDL-C levels. BNP II protein analyzer (Siemens) was used for detection of serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and homocysteine (Hcy) levels.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
