Quantikine elisa human kits

Manufactured by R&D Systems
Sourced in United States

The Quantikine ELISA human kits are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) products designed for the quantitative measurement of specific human proteins in cell culture supernates, serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. These kits utilize the sandwich ELISA technique to detect and quantify the target analytes.

Biomarkers of Neuropsychiatric Conditions

TGF-β1 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels were measured in plasma using Quantikine ELISA human kits (R&D Systems, Inc.) specific for TGF-β1 and BDNF, with minimum detectable concentrations of 0.50 and 20 pg/mL, respectively. Plasma levels of MHPG and homovanillic acid (HVA) were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography. α-MSH levels were measured by radioimmunoassay (Euro Diagnostica, Malmo, Sweden).

Plasma Cytokine Expression Measurement

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The relative concentration of plasma cytokine expression was measured by ELISA using the Human ICAM-1/CD54, IL-8/CXCL8, MIF, IL-6 and C-Reactive Protein/CRP via the Quantikine ELISA Human kits (R&D Systems, Minneapolis, MN, USA). Kits were used according to manufacturer's instructions. Briefly, plates were coated with monoclonal anti-human cytokine capture antibody and blocked with 1% bovine serum albumin. Plasma samples, in triplicate, were incubated for two hours at room temperature together with recombinant human cytokine standards. Bound cytokine was detected with anti-human cytokine horseradish peroxidase secondary antibody and tetramethylbenzidine substrate. The concentration of cytokine per sample was calculated using a four-parameter logistic curve fit of the standard concentrations. All data were expressed as mean ± S.D. and for comparisons of the means, the student t-test was used. p values less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
