Calcein, MnCl₂, 5-, 12-, 16-doxyl stearic acids, and 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid (ANS) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich Inc. Dodecylphosphocholine-d₃₈, methanol-d₄ and D₂O were supplied from Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. Sodium dodecyl sulfate was obtained from Merk (Darmstadt, Germany).
