Uv spectrophotometer

MRSA 25332 isolate was cultured overnight on MH agar plates at 37°C. Then, MRSA 25332 bacteria were suspended in PBS at the final concentration of 2 × 10⁹ CFU/ml. Polymer 2a (1/2× MIC, 1× MIC, 2× MIC, 4× MIC and 8× MIC) was added into the bacterial suspension, and incubated for 2 h at 37°C, after which the suspension was filtered with 0.22-μm filter to obtain the supernatant. The absorbance at 260 nm of the supernatant was detected by a UV spectrophotometer (Allsheng, China). Bacterial suspension without any treatment was used as the control. The experiments were performed in triplicates. The results were presented as mean ± SD.
