Plasmid Engineering for EGFR-EGFP

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The plasmid coding for human EGFR tagged with EGFP (hEGFR-EGFP) was a kind gift from Alexander Sorkin (Addgene plasmid #32751) [27 (link)]. To replace EGFP with mEGFP, both plasmids hEGFR-EGFP and mEGFP-N1 (gift from Michael Davidson, Addgene plasmid #54767) were digested with AgeI and NotI (New England Biolabs GmbH, Ipswich, MA, USA). The hemagglutinin (HA) gene from influenza virus strain A/FPV/Rostock/34 (H7N1) tagged with mEGFP at the C-terminus (FPV-HA-mEGFP) was cloned based on the previously described FPV-HA-mEYFP (gift from Andreas Herrmann, Humboldt University Berlin) [28 (link)]. Briefly, FPV-HA-mEYFP was digested using BglII and SacII (New England Biolabs GmbH, Ipswich, MA, USA), and the obtained HA-insert was ligated into mEGFP-N1. This plasmid is available on Addgene (#127810).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
