Glucose Oxidase Enzyme Characterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Glucose oxidase (GOx) from Aspergillus niger was purchased from Toyobo (Tokyo, Japan). We determined the concentration of GOx spectrophotometrically using the absorption coefficient of 18240 M -1 cm -1 at 460 nm. 11 ε-Poly-L-lysine was kindly donated by JNC (Tokyo). The sample consisted mainly of 25 -35 L-lysine residues, and its weight-average molecular weight was reported to be 4700 Da. 9, 12 Poly-L-lysine hydrobromide (αPL, MW = 15000 -30000), glycol chitosan (GCh), potassium ferrocyanide, hydroquinone (HQ), D-glucose, and 25% glutaraldehyde solution were purchased from Wako Pure Chemical Industries (Osaka, Japan). Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAA, MW = 15000) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). 2-Morpholinoethanesulfonic acid (MES) and 3-morpholinopropanesulfonic acid (MOPS) were purchased from Dojindo Laboratories (Mashiki, Japan). They were used without further purification. Other chemicals were of reagent grade and were used as received.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
