Palm robot microbeam

Manufactured by Zeiss
Sourced in Germany, United States

The PALM Robot MicroBeam is a laser microdissection system designed for precise and efficient isolation of specific cells or regions from tissue samples. It utilizes a laser-based microdissection technique to accurately cut and collect the desired target areas for further analysis.

Laser-Microdissection of CD30+ B Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Frozen lymph node sections positioned on membrane-covered microdissection slides were immunostained for CD30 with the anti-CD30 antibody BerH2 (Dako). Single CD30+ B cells were microdissected into 20 µl of 1 x PCR buffer using the PALM Robot MicroBeam laser microdissection system (Zeiss, Oberkochen, Germany) as previously described (11 (link)). Microdissected pieces of membrane not covered by tissue and tubes only carrying PCR buffer served as negative controls.

Laser-assisted Microdissection of Neoplastic Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Ten consecutive 8-μm-thick nuclear fast red-stained representative sections of the tumors were subjected to laser-assisted microdissection on a PALM Robot MicroBeam laser microdissection system (Zeiss, Thornwood, NY, USA), as previously described.24 (link) First, non-neoplastic cells, including inflammatory cells, stroma, and normal breast, were ablated. We subsequently microdissected only histologically unequivocal neoplastic cells from each sample under a microscope. Tissue was microdissected directly into extraction buffer, and DNA was extracted using the DNeasy Blood and Tissue Kit (Qiagen, Valencia, CA, USA) and quantified with the Qubit Fluorometer (Invitrogen, Life Technologies, Norwalk, CT, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
