Jh 112 pieso electric pedometer

Manufactured by Omron

The JH 112 is a piezo-electric pedometer designed to measure steps taken. It utilizes a piezo-electric sensor to detect motion and track the number of steps. The device provides a basic step counting function without any additional features or interpretations.

Health Impact of Lifestyle Intervention

HRAs were completed at baseline, 8 and 32 weeks, using face-to-face computer assisted personal interviews, in English or Spanish based on the preference of the participant. Interviews were conducted by non-intervention staff who were community members and who received training in interviewing techniques. Height (inches) was recorded at baseline. Weight (pounds), waist circumference (cm), and three measures of resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure (micrograms mercury) were recorded (one minute between measurements, using an Omron HEM-712C digital blood pressure monitor) at each data collection point. At each data collection point, a fasting blood sample was collected using a finger stick to monitor total and high density lipids (mg/dL), and glucose (mg/dL) using a Cholestec LDX machine. Participants wore an Omron JH 112 pieso-electric pedometer for one week prior to initiating the walking groups to record baseline steps (T1, Figure 2), and for the duration of the study period.

Comprehensive Health Assessment Protocol

Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) were completed at baseline, 8 and 32 weeks, using face-to-face computer assisted personal interviews, in English or Spanish based on the participant’s preference. HRAs included psychometric indicators, self-reported health and medication use, height (inches), weight (pounds), waist circumference (cm), three measures of resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure (micrograms mercury) (recorded using an Omron HEM-712C digital blood pressure monitor), and a fasting finger-stick blood sample to monitor total and high density lipids (mg/dL) and glucose (mg/dL) using a Cholestec LDX machine. About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
