Aobs confocal microscope

Manufactured by Leica

The Leica AOBS confocal microscope is a high-performance imaging system designed for advanced microscopy applications. It features an Acousto-Optical Beam Splitter (AOBS) technology that enables rapid and precise control of laser excitation wavelengths, providing efficient separation of excitation and emission signals. The AOBS confocal microscope delivers high-quality, high-resolution images with reduced background fluorescence and improved signal-to-noise ratio.

Immunohistochemical Analysis of Adult Thymus

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Adult thymi were processed for IHC as described (Nowell et al., 2011 (link)). Isotype controls (not shown) were included in all experiments. Staining was analyzed using a Leica AOBS confocal microscope (Leica Microsystems). The images presented are either single optical sections or projected focus stacks of serial optical sections. The number of FOXN1+ or AIRE+ TECs per area was established by analyzing three areas on each of two non-sequential sections from each of three individual mice. Statistical analysis was performed on the average number of FOXN1+ or AIRE+ cells per condition.

Immunohistochemical Analysis of Thymus

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Adult thymus or thymic rudiment tissue was processed for immunohistochemistry as described [29] (link). Isotype controls (not shown) were included in all experiments. Staining was analyzed using a Leica AOBS confocal microscope (Leica Microsystems GmbH). The images presented are either single optical sections or projected focus stacks of serial optical sections.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
