HPLC-DAD Quantification of Phytochemicals

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Chromatographic analyses were conducted using an Elite Lachrom HPLC-DAD system equipped with a UV detector (Hitachi HighTechnologies Co., Tokyo, Japan). The UV detector at 260 nm and analytical YMC ODS-AM (5 mM, 4.6 × 250 mM) column (Kyoto, Japan) were used for quantification based on the internal standard method. The column temperature was 35 °C, and the mobile phase flow rate was 1 mL/min. The eluent was a gradient of solvent (A) = 0.1% acetic acid in water and solvent (B) = 0.1% acetic acid in acetonitrile. The run time was 35 min, and the gradient was as follows: (A)/(B) = 88/12 (0 min) → (A)/(B) = 78/22 (0–18 min) → (A)/(B) = 72/28 (18–28 min) → (A)/(B) = 62/38 (28–35 min). HPLC analysis is shown in Figure 1.

HPLC Analysis of 4-Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The HPLC analysis was conducted using an Elite Lachrom HPLC-DAD system equipped with a UV detector (Hitachi HighTechnologies Co., Tokyo, Japan) and a TSK-gel 100 V (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 µm; TOSOH, Tokyo, Japan) equipped with a photodiode array detector with a wavelength set at 310 nm. The temperature of the column oven was 25 °C, and the injection volume was 10 μL. The elution was performed at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, using acetonitrile (A) and 0.04% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) (B) as the mobile phase. The solvent gradient was established according to the conditions listed in Table 1. 4-Hydroxybenzyl alcohol is one of the representative GE ingredients, and we confirmed this ingredient, which we expected to play an important role in antithrombotic pharmacological action, through HPLC.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
