Cvivo15 x vivo 15 media

Manufactured by Lonza

CVIVO15 is a serum-free and chemically defined cell culture medium developed by Lonza. It is formulated to support the growth and expansion of a variety of cell types, including primary cells, stem cells, and immortalized cell lines. The medium is designed to provide a consistent and reliable environment for cell culture applications.

PBMC Thawing and RNA Extraction

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
PBMCs were thawed in warm cVIVO15 (X-VIVO 15 Media (Lonza) supplemented with 5% FBS (Gemini Bio), 55 uM 2-mercaptoethanol (Sigma), and 10 mM N-acetyl-L cysteine (Sigma)). We washed cells twice with cVIVO15, resuspended in PBS and spun down. Cell pellets were resuspended in RLT+ buffer (Qiagen) and flash frozen on dry ice. For RNA isolation, we thawed, vortexed, and incubated samples for 5 minutes at room temperature before RNA isolation using the Qiagen RNeasy extraction kit. After isolation, libraries were generated at the Molecular Biology Core Facilities at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
