Dmem ham f12 culture media

Manufactured by Merck Group

DMEM/HAM F12 culture media is a cell culture medium designed to support the growth and maintenance of a variety of cell types. It is a combination of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) and Ham's F12 nutrient mixture, which provides a balanced formulation of amino acids, vitamins, salts, and other essential components required for cell growth and survival.

Rat Epididymis Dissection and Preservation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Male Sprague-Dawley rats (7-, 18-, 28-and 60-days of age) were purchased from Charles River Laboratories, Inc. (Fair eld, New Jersey). Rats were acclimated for one week under constant photoperiod (12h light: 12h dark), and received food and water ad libitum. At the time of sampling, rats were anesthetized with CO 2 and killed by cervical dislocation or decapitation. Epididymides were dissected from rats under aseptic conditions and either frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -86ºC or placed in Dulbecco Modi ed Eagles Medium (DMEM)/HAM F12 culture media containing penicillin (50U/mL) and streptomycin (50µg/mL) (Sigma-Aldrich, Oakville, ON). All the animal protocols used in this study were approved by the university animal care committee.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
