methanol, and acetone were purchased from Wako Pure Chemical Industries,
Ltd. and hexaammineruthenium(III) chloride ([Ru(NH3)6]Cl3) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. These materials
were used without purification. Deionized (DI) water was obtained
from a water purification system (Milli-Q Reference A+, MERCK Millipore)
with a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ·cm at 25 °C. The experiments
were performed at room temperature (25 °C) under atmospheric
pressure, unless otherwise stated.
