Annexin 5 fitc pi apoptosis kit

Manufactured by BioLegend
Sourced in United States

The Annexin V-FITC/PI apoptosis kit is a laboratory tool used to detect and quantify apoptosis, a form of programmed cell death. The kit utilizes Annexin V, a protein that binds to phosphatidylserine, and propidium iodide (PI), a DNA-binding dye, to distinguish between viable, early apoptotic, and late apoptotic/necrotic cells.

Oxidative Stress-Induced Apoptosis in CSCs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
CSCs seeded in 10 cm-diameter dishes were treated with H2O2 at the indicated concentrations for 5 h, then collected and stained with Annexin V-FITC/PI apoptosis kit (BioLegend, California, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions, and detected by flow cytometer (Image StreamX MarkII, Amnis, USA). The results were analyzed by IDEAS software (Amnis, USA).

Cell Cycle and Apoptosis Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Whole-cell suspensions were stained with 50 μg/ml PI (propidium iodide) after 70% ethanol fixation and analyzed for cell cycle phase distribution with a BD Biosciences flow cytometer. Cell apoptosis was also quantified using an Annexin V-FITC/PI apoptosis kit (BioLegend, 640,914) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The number of FITC- or PI-positive cells was determined using a flow cytometer (ImageStreamX MarkII, Amnis, USA). The fluorescence levels of FITC and PI were measured in the FL2 channel (488 nm) and FL4 channel (488 nm), respectively. The results were analyzed using IDEAS Application v6.0 software (Amnis, USA).

Annexin V FITC/PI Apoptosis Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The processed HL-1 cells were harvested and adjusted to 1×106/mL. Then, the cells were processed using Annexin V FITC/PI apoptosis kit (BioLegend, San Diego, CA, USA). Flow cytometry was adopted to confirm the apoptosis rate.

Apoptosis Induction in sCAFs/rCAFs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
sCAFs or rCAFs were treated with either 8 μM cisplatin, 15 μM 5’FU or 0.1% DMSO (as a control) in the presence or absence of placebo, 10 μM AKT (Perifosine) or 20 μM p65 (Maslinic acid) inhibitors for 48 h. After the harvest, cells were subsequently treated with Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Kit (Cat no. #6409914, Biolegend) and finally analyzed by using a FCM (BD Accuri™ C6). The FACS gating strategies were given in Supplementary Fig. 8b.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
