Api2000 tandem mass spectrometer

Manufactured by AB Sciex
Sourced in Germany, United States

The API2000 tandem mass spectrometer is a laboratory instrument designed for the analysis of chemical compounds. It is capable of performing high-sensitivity, high-resolution mass spectrometry. The API2000 utilizes an atmospheric pressure ionization source and a triple quadrupole mass analyzer to identify and quantify target analytes in complex sample matrices.

The determination of 1-MT, TRP, KYN, KYNA, and QUIN in plasma or cell-free supernatants was performed as previously described in detail (28 (link), 29 (link)) using an API2000 tandem mass spectrometer equipped with an electrospray ion source (ABSciex, Darmstadt, Germany). As an indicator of IDO1 activation, the ratio of KYN and TRP (KYN × 100/TRP) was calculated (30 (link)).

HPLC-MS/MS Analysis of Trifluoroacetate

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Instrumental analysis of TF was performed on an Agilent 1100 high-performance liquid chromatography system (Agilent) coupled with an API 2000 tandem mass spectrometer (AB SCIEX, Framingham, MA, USA) (HPLC–MS/MS). Five microliters of the sample extract was injected into a BetaSil C18 column (5 µm; 150 mm × 2.1 mm; Thermo Scientific). The HPLC mobile phase started with 20% A (100% acetonitrile) and 80% B (0.2% formic acid in water) for 2 min, increased to 95% A at 10 min followed by a 4-min hold and decreased to 20% A at 15 min followed by a 5-min hold reverting to original conditions. The tandem mass spectrometry was operated in the positive ionization mode with the ion spray voltage of 5500 V. The mass transition for TF was 347 > 137. The dwell time was 400 ms. Collision energy was 32 V for TF. All other parameters were optimized by infusing the standards in the tune mode.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
