Aldosterone elisa kit

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in Switzerland, Japan, United Kingdom

The Aldosterone ELISA kit is a quantitative assay designed to measure the concentration of aldosterone in biological samples. It utilizes the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique.

1

Comprehensive Kidney Function Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Electrolytes and other parameters of kidney function in blood were carried out by SA Pathology (Adelaide, Australia). Urine osmolality was measured using an Advanced 3320 osmometer (Advanced Instruments) and other parameters using an Advia 2400 chemistry system (Siemens). Serum aldosterone levels were measured using an Aldosterone Elisa Kit (Abcam, ab136933) and analyzed on a Spark 10 M microplate reader (Tecan, Switzerland).

Murine Metabolic and Endocrine Profiling

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Urine was collected from each mouse, held in an individual metabolic cage (Tecniplast, Exton, PA, USA), over a 24-h period. Blood samples were collected from the left ventricle before sacrificing under anesthesia. Serum samples were centrifuged for 5 minutes at 860 G and were stored at −80°C until analysis. Urine samples were also stored at −80°C for subsequent analysis.
Serum urea nitrogen and creatinine levels were measured using a Fuji Dri-Chem 3500 system (FUJIFILM Japan, Tokyo, Japan). Serum calcium and phosphorus levels were measured using Calcium E-Test Wako and Phospha C-Test Wako (FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Osaka, Japan), respectively. Serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), intact fibroblast growth factor 23 (iFGF23), and aldosterone levels were measured using ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) kits (mouse PTH 1-84 ELISA kit: Immutopics International, San Clemente, CA, USA; FGF23 ELISA kit: KAINOS laboratories, Inc., Tokyo, Japan; Aldosterone ELISA kit: Abcam, Cambridge, UK).

Biomarkers of Kidney Dysfunction and Oxidative Stress

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood samples were centrifuged for 5 min at 3000 rpm and were stored at − 80 °C until analysis. Serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, albumin, total cholesterol, calcium, phosphorus, and glucose levels were measured using a Fuji Dri-Chem 3500 (Fujifilm Japan, Tokyo, Japan). Urinary albumin, creatinine, and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) levels were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit (albumin: Nephrat, Exocell, Philadelphia, PA, USA; creatinine: Creatinine Assay Kit, Cayman Chemical, Ann Arbor, MI, USA; NGAL: Lipocain-2 Rat ELISA Kit, Abcam, Cambridge, MA, USA). The urinary 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), a sensitive indicator of oxidative DNA damage, was determined using a sandwich ELISA kit (Japan Institute for Control of Aging, Shizuoka, Japan). Serum aldosterone levels were measured using an Aldosterone ELISA kit (Abcam, Cambridge, UK).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
