Mfn2 sirna

Manufactured by Santa Cruz Biotechnology
Sourced in United States

Mfn2 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) that targets the Mfn2 gene, which encodes the mitofusin 2 protein. The core function of this product is to effectively silence the expression of the Mfn2 gene, allowing researchers to study the effects of Mfn2 knockdown in various cellular and biological systems.

Knockdown of Mst1 and Mfn2 in Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were seeded in 6-well clusters and then were incubated at 37 °C in 5% CO2 until 80% confluent. Mst1 siRNA and Mfn2 siRNA were purchased from Santa Cruz, USA. siRNA transfection solution was prepared according to the directions provided by Santa Cruz to make a siRNA solution at a concentration of 400 nM. The cells were washed once with siRNA transfection medium (Santa Cruz, USA). Next, appropriate siRNA transfection medium and siRNA transfection solution were added to each well. The cells were then incubated for 6 h at 37 °C in 5% CO2. The transfection mixture was then removed and replaced with normal growth medium, and then the cells were incubated for an additional 24 h. Western blotting was performed to observe the knockdown efficiency [32] (link).

Silencing FGF21 and Mfn2 in MSCs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
FGF21 siRNA (Santa Cruz, sc-39484), Mfn2 siRNA (Santa Cruz, SC-43928), and control siRNA were used to transfect MSCs using a Lipofectamine RNAiMAX Reagent Kit (Invitrogen, 13778-075) at a standardized MOI (multiplicity of infection) of 5 according to the protocol. Seventy-two hours after FGF21 siRNA and Mfn2 siRNA transfection, MSCs were harvested and the silencing efficiency evaluated by Western blotting.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
