Cu/ZnSOD from porcine erythrocytes was purchased from Biodee Biotechnology Co., Ltd. 2-Mercaptobenzimidazole (MBI), nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT), methionine, riboflavin and EDTA were obtained from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. A 0.2 molL⁻¹ mixture of phosphate buffer (mixture of NaH₂PO₄·2H₂O and Na₂HPO₄·12H₂O, pH = 7.4) was used to control the pH. All other reagents were of analytical grade and purchased from standard reagent suppliers. Ultrapure water (18.25 MΩ) was used throughout the experiments.
