The HCC cell lines HepG2, SK‐Hep1, and Hep3B used for this study were purchased from ATCC (Rockville, MD, USA) and stored at liquid nitrogen. All these cells were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% heat‐inactivated fetal bovine serum in incubators with a humidified atmosphere of 5% CO2 and 95% air at 37 °C.
