Mebendazole Formulation and Characterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Mebendazole was a gift sample from the Iraqi Pharmaceutical Industry (IPI) Company (Baghdad, Iraq). Polyethylene glycol 6000 was purchased from Merck Schuchardt -Germany, AC-DI-SOL AE Crosscarmelose from FMC Biopolymers, and Ludiflash from BASF. HPLC gradient grade ace-tonitrile and methanol were purchased from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany), whereas HPLC grade methyl tert-butyl ether was acquired from Sigma-Aldrich (Taufkirchen, Germany). HPLC grade trifluoroacetic acid was obtained from Honeywell-Fluka (Buchs, Switzerland). Physiological compounds -granular Lecithin, (Acros Organics, Geel, Belgium) and sodium taurocholate min 98% (Carl Roth, Karlsruhe, Germany) were used in the preparation of the simulated intestinal fluids. Ultrapure water (resistivity 18.2 MΩ ∑ cm at 25 O C, TOC < 5ppb) was obtained from a Milli-Q (Millipore, Milford, MA, USA) water purification system. All other reagents were of analytical grade, purchased from different commercial suppliers, and used without further purification.

Neutraliser Effectiveness Against P. aeruginosa

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A neutraliser solution containing 1.0 % w/v sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate (ACROS Organics, Loughborough UK), 0.5 % w/v sodium dodecyl sulphate (BDH Laboratory Supplies, poole UK), 1.0 % w/v granular lecithin (ACROS Organics New Jersey US), 15 % w/v of Polysorbate 80 (ACROS Organics Loughborough UK) and 0.1 % w/v L-Histidine (ACROS Organics New Jersey US) was prepared and sterilised by membrane filtration. Efficacy and toxicity of the neutraliser against P. aeruginosa PA14 was evaluated using a suspension challenge method as specified in BS EN 13727 2012+A1 2013. (26)

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
