3d vision

Manufactured by NVIDIA

NVIDIA 3D VISION is a stereoscopic 3D display technology that allows users to experience 3D content on compatible displays. The system consists of active shutter glasses and a compatible display that work together to create a 3D effect. The core function of NVIDIA 3D VISION is to enable stereoscopic 3D viewing of content, providing users with a more immersive and depth-enhanced visual experience.

Gamma-Corrected Stereoscopic Visual Stimuli

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Gamma-corrected stimuli were generated by using a DELL computer running MATLAB (The Mathworks Corp., Natick, MA, USA) and PsychToolbox subroutines (Brainard, 1997 (link); Denis, 1997 (link)), and it was presented on an ASUS VG278 3D monitor with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels at a refresh rate of 80 Hz. Each pixel subtended 0.46 min of arc at a viewing distance of 2.35 m. Stereoscopic images were displayed dichoptically through liquid crystal shutter glasses (NVIDIA 3D VISION) that were synchronized to the VG 278 3D monitor. The mean luminance of the stimulus and background was 43.86 and 0.26 cd/m2, respectively. A chin/forehead rest was used to minimize head movement during the experiment.

High-Performance Stereo Presentation Setup

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The VIEWPixx 3D (VPixx Technologies, Montreal, Canada) is an LCD panel with an LED backlight. It is a high-performance system intended to replace CRT monitors in vision-science applications. When paired with an active-shutter-goggle system (Nvidia 3D Vision, Nvidia, Santa Clara, CA), it is capable of stereo presentation at 120 Hz. This system was driven by a 2013 Mac Pro (Apple, Cupertino, CA), with code written in MATLAB using Psychtoolbox 3.0.11.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
