Enterococcus faecalis DNA Extraction

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The genomic DNA of Enterococcus faecalis strain ATCC19433 was extracted utilizing a Tiangen Bacterial Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (Tiangen Biotech) following the manufacturer's instructions. The puri ed genomic DNA was quanti ed with a TBS-380 uorometer (Turner BioSystems Inc., Sunnyvale, CA). Only DNA samples meeting high-quality criteria, including no degradation, OD260/280 = 1.8 ~ 2.0, and a quantity of > 1 µg were utilized for subsequent analyses.

Genomic DNA Isolation from Bacteria

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A total of 5 ml collected broth from YEME liquid medium was centrifuged at 4000 g for 10 min. Genomic DNA was isolated from the cell pellets using the ChargeSwitch® gDNA Mini Bacteria Kit (Life Technologies) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Puri ed genomic DNA was quanti ed using a TBS-380 uorometer (Turner BioSystems Inc., Sunnyvale, CA). High quality DNA (OD260/280 = 1.8 ~ 2.0, > 10 µg) was used for further research.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
