Krs 5prism

Manufactured by Shimadzu
Sourced in Japan, Germany

The KRS-5PRISM is a high-performance infrared prism spectrometer designed for laboratory applications. It is capable of analyzing and detecting a wide range of organic and inorganic compounds through infrared spectroscopy. The KRS-5PRISM utilizes a prism-based optical system to disperse infrared light, allowing for precise measurements of absorption and transmission spectra.

Infrared Spectroscopy of Functional Groups

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To ensure the link between the SA and PVA functional groups and also the chemical bonds, specific values of each sample were prepared and analyzed by an infrared spectrometer (FTIR, SHIMADZU, 8400S model Japan) with KRS-5PRISM at a 45-degree angle. The IR spectrum was recorded in the frequency range 500 to 4000 cm−1.

Organic Molecules Interactions with Silica

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The interactions of organic molecules (curcumin, capsaicin) with the surface groups of the parent and Ag-containing silica particles were studied with the attenuated total reflection infrared method. ATR-FTIR spectra were recorded by means of IRAffinity-1 Fourier Transform Infrared spectrophotometer (Shimadzu Europa GmbH, Duisburg, Germany) with MIRacle Attenuated Total Reflectance Attachment. The instrument is equipped with a temperature-controlled, high-sensitivity DLATGS detector and ATR attachment with a KRS-5 prism, both purchased from Shimadzu Europa GmbH (Duisburg, Germany). For each sample, 50 scans with 4 cm−1 resolution were applied, and the spectral data wereprocessed with an IR solution software.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
