Human aortic endothelial cells (hAEC) (CC-2535; Lonza) were cultured in EBM-2 basal medium with EGM-2 SingleQuots supplement excluding Heparin (Lonza), as well as 10% FBS, penicillin, and streptomycin. Kasumi-3 cells were obtained from ATCC and maintained in RPMI 1640 with 20% FBS and penicillin, streptomycin, and glutamine. M2-10B4 and S1/S1 stromal cells were obtained from Stem Cell Technologies and maintained in DMEM with 10% fetal bovine serum and penicillin, streptomycin, and glutamine. All cells were maintained at 37°C and 5% CO2.
