Inertcap wax column

Manufactured by GL Sciences
Sourced in Japan

The InertCap-WAX column is a chromatography column designed for capillary gas chromatography (GC) applications. It features a WAX (polyethylene glycol) stationary phase that provides high polarity selectivity for the separation of polar and semi-polar compounds.

GC-MS Analysis of BCP Concentrations

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
BCP concentrations in serum and organ samples were analyzed using a GC–MS (Agilent 7890B-5977B MSD; Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA, USA), a Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU2), Programmable Temperature Vaporization inlet (CIS4), and Multipurpose Sampler (MPS) with Dynamic Head Space (DHS) option (Gerstel GmbH & Co.KG, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany)39 (link). An MSD ChemStation vs. F. 01.03. 2357 (Agilent) and Mass Hunter v.B.07.05.2479 (Agilent) were used for data analysis.
Tenax TA cartridges were released from Tenax TA traps using a thermal desorption cold-trap setup (thermal desorption spectrometer (TDS); Markes International, Ltd., Llantrisant, RCT, UK). An InertCap WAX column (length: 60 m, df: 0.25 μm, I.D.: 0.25 mm, GL Sciences, Inc., Tokyo, Japan) was used for component separation. The oven temperature was programmed as follows: initial temperature, 40 °C; ramp rate, 3 °C/min (40 to 145 °C) and 10 °C/min (145 to 240 °C); and final temperature, 240 °C for 5 min. The He inlet pressure was controlled using an electronic pressure control system to achieve a constant column flow of 1 mL/min. MS analysis was performed in the ionization mode at a voltage of 70 eV.

GC Analysis of Chemical Compounds

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Samples were analyzed using a G-5000 GC instrument (Hitachi, Tokyo, Japan) equipped with an InertCap-WAX column (60 m×0.25 mm, film thickness 0.25 µm; GL Sciences, Tokyo, Japan). The split ratio was 99:1. The conditions for GC analysis were as follows: carrier gas, helium; flow rate, 1 ml/min; injector temperature, 230°C; flame ionization detector (FID) temperature, 250°C; column oven program, 100°C initially, then increased by 4°C per min to 180°C, maintained at 180°C for 30 min, then increased by 5°C per min to 240°C, then maintained for 18 min; Injection volume, 3 μl.

Gas Chromatography Analysis of Agarwood

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Agarwood oil (3 μL) and hydrosol (1 μL) samples were analyzed by GC (G-5000, Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) equipped with a InertCap-WAX column (60 m × 0.25 mm, film thickness 0.25 μm, GL Sciences). The split ratio was 99:1. The conditions for GC analysis were as follows: carrier gas, helium; flow rate, 1 mL min -; injector temperature, 230°C; detector; flame ionization detector (FID), 250℃; column oven program, 100°C initially increased by 4°C every min until it reached 180°C, maintained at this temperature for 30 min, then increased by 5°C every min until it reached 240°C, and maintained for 18 min.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
