Enzymatic Assays for Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Alpha-glucosidase enzyme from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, α-amylase from porcine pancreas and 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl-α-D-maltotrioside (CNPG3) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich. All other chemicals were purchased from UFC Biotechnology. A microplate reader (Anthos Zenyth-200RT, Cambridge, UK) was used for the spectrophotometric measurements. A Bruker NMR Spectrometer (Bruker, Yokohama, Japan) used for 1H-NMR (400 MHZ) and 13C-NMR (100 MHz) analysis. Spectra were recorded in CD3OD or DMSO-d6 using tetramethylsilane (Sigma-Aldrich, St. Louis, MO, USA) as an internal standard, and chemical shift values were expressed in δ ppm.

The chemicals used for the experiments were all fresh and of analytical grade. Yeast extract (YE, Oxoid), magnesium sulfate (MgSO4, Bendosen), dipotassium phosphate (K2HPO4, Bendosen), mono-potassium phosphate (KH2PO4, Bendosen), ammonium chloride (NH4Cl, Bendosen), and D (+)- Glucose (R&M Chemicals). Alpha-glucosidase enzyme from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Sigma-Aldrich), 4-Nitrophenyl glucopyranoside (pNPG, Sigma-Aldrich), heparin sodium salt (Solarbio), and Streptozotocin (Santa Cruz) were purchased in lyophilized powder form.

Detailed Reagent Sourcing for Research

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Analytical grade chemicals such as acetic acid, chloroform, ethanol, methanol, sulfuric acid, powdered glucose, mercuric iodide, nitric acid, potassium sodium tartrate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, iodine, potassium dichromate, bismuth nitrate and ammonia solution were all obtained from Merck, Germany. Tartaric acid, picric acid, lead acetate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate and ferric chloride were supplied by Loba, India. Other reagents include distilled water, castor oil, potassium iodide (Sigma-Aldrich, Germany), DPPH (Sigma-Aldrich, USA), alpha-naphthol (Unichem, China), cupric sulfate (Qualikems, India), sodium bicarbonate (Guangdong Guanghua chemical factory, China), polysorbate-80 (Research-Lab Fine Chem Industries, India), alpha-glucosidase enzyme from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, para-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside (pNPG) (Sigma-Aldrich, Switzerland). Standard drugs diclofenac sodium, glibenclamide and voglibose used in this study were procured from Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Bangladesh.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
