5 protocols using bc 6900 hematology analyzer

1

Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio Calculation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Peripheral blood was collected within 7 days prior to the first line therapy. The differential counts of the white blood cells were determined using a hemocytometer. The percentages of the differential counts were determined using a BC-6900 Hematology Analyzer (Mindray, Shenzhen, China). The NLR calculations were made by dividing the serum neutrophil count by the lymphocyte count.

Hematology analysis using XN 9000 and BC 6900

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Hematology analysis of blood cells (complete blood count and differentiation) were performed on the XN 9000 hematology analyzer (Sysmex, Kobe, Japan) and BC 6900 hematology analyzer (Mindray, Shenzhen, China) following the manufacturers’ instruction and laboratory standard operating procedures.

Clinical Laboratory Findings of COVID-19

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The characteristic epidemiological information (including recent exposure history, such as travel history and contact with patients with fever or respiratory symptoms from other cities in Hubei province or confirmed cases within 2 weeks) and basic information such as gender, age, clinical symptoms, and signs were collected from the admission records. All the laboratory data including complete blood count (BC-6900, Mindray, Shenzhen, China), serum biochemistry (AU5800, Beckman Coulter, CA, USA), and coagulation tests (ACL TOP 700, Werfen, Barcelona, Spain), were collected from the laboratory information system (LIS).
In this study, a total of 161 results detected on the Mindray BC-6900 hematology analyzer, along with biochemistry and coagulation tests, were collected from 45 patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection between January 23, 2020 and February 13, 2020. The laboratory test results were divided into two groups based on the sources of the samples, from moderate or severe patients, on which retrospective analysis and comparative analysis were performed.

Biomarkers for Pediatric Organ Damage

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Liver damage was diagnosed if the biochemical analyzer (Abbott Laboratories, Abbott Park, IL, USA) showed abnormal values of total bilirubin (TBil), indirect bilirubin (IBil), serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and/or alkaline phosphatase (ALP); similarly, myocardial damage was diagnosed if there were elevated levels of serum creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase (CK) isoenzyme MB (CK-MB), and/or lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). Levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) were also detected by the biochemical analyzer (Abbott). Blood cell count analysis was performed using a Mindray BC-6900 hematology analyzer (Mindray Medical International Ltd., Shenzhen, China). The reference values of these markers were set by children’s hospital. Differences of various indicators in children of different ages were analyzed.

Blood Biomarkers in Clinical Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The PCT, CRP and WBC levels in the peripheral blood of patients were analyzed at a clinical laboratory in Yijishan Hospital, Wannan Medical College. The PCT was tested using a chemiluminescent immunoassay with an automatic chemiluminescence apparatus (Snibe Diagnostic MAGLUMI 1000) and diagnostic kits (both provided by Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Co., Ltd, China). The CRP was tested using a particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay with a HITACHI 7600 Series Automatic Biochemical Analyzer (Hitachi, Ltd., Japan) and diagnostic kits (DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH, Shanghai, China). Routine blood counts were performed with a Mindray BC-6900 hematology analyzer (Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China). The WBC and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) were calculated based on the routine blood count results. All operations were strictly conducted according to the instructions provided by the instrument and reagent manufacturers.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
