Glucose Oxidase Activity Assay
Colorimetric Assay for Glucose Quantification
PBS buffer (0.1 M, pH 6.0) was prepared by addition of 87.7 mL of sodium phosphate monobasic (0.2 M) and 12.3 mL of sodium phosphate dibasic (0.2 M). GOx (120 U/mL) was prepared with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (pH 6.0). A HRP solution was prepared with PBS at 30 U/mL. KI (1.0 M) was prepared with DI water. Various concentrations of glucose were made in DI water (0.5, 1 -4 mM). DTNB (5 mg/mL), various concentrations of ATC (0, 0.5, 1 -14 mM) and AChE (0.18 U/mL) were prepared in PBS buffer (pH 6.0). A solution of AChE:DTNB (1:1) was prepared fresh prior to the ATC assays.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
