ChIP-Seq of HBx Protein-DNA Interactions

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The chromatin immunoprecipitation assays (ChIP) was performed using the EpiQuikTM chromatin immunoprecipitation kit from Epigentek Group Inc according to the published methods. Protein-DNA complexes were immunoprecipitated with HBx antibodies, with mouse IgG as a negative control antibody and anti-polymerase II as positive control. DNA collected by these antibodies was subjected to PCR analysis, followed by sequencing. Amplification of soluble chromatin prior to immunoprecipitation was used as an input control. All primers were listed in Supplementary Table S2.

Colorimetric HDAC Activity Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
HDAC enzyme activity was evaluated using the commercial colorimetric assay kit EpiQuik TM (Epigentek, Farmingdale, NY, . Active HDAC's in 5ug nuclear extracts hydrolyze acetylated histone substrates captured on strip wells. Specific antibodies to unacetylated substrates recognize and can be colorimetrically quantified through an ELISAlike reaction. HDAC activity is inversely proportional to the amount of the remaining acetylated histone substrates.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
